Watching Vietnamese PM Phan Van Khai speaking on C-SPAN

Holy cow, I am watching his live's speech on C-SPAN channel during the welcoming dinner in Washington DC. He is speaking Vietnamese with a southern Viet accent. I didn't know that!

Right after Senator McCain's introduction, PM Khai walked up to the podium and immediately, there was a commotion caused by one person who shouted something as similar as "You killed the people!". The camera zoomed in at the person who was escorted out of the building. The commotion calmed down, and the PM Khai said in Vietnamese, "Trong cuộc sống nhiều khi có những chuyện xảy ra như thế" right at the podium. No one else said anything...the camera zoomed back to the podium where PM Khai started his speech. He delivered the entire speech in Vietnamese and the audience received the message through a interpreter who has an British accent.

I wish the PM could have his speech in English. But then again, that would take away the sincerity of his message.

.....

His speech just ended. Some Vietnamese drums and instruments were playing in the background.
