I am rich, so rich!

I must be rich.

I must have recently hit a jackpot and received a large, undisclosed sum of dough. Somehow, by what power that is beyond me, the police department at Middle of Nowhere of Massachusetts detected a fortune that is unbeknown to my knowledge (and also to my bank account!) That's why they purposely wanted me to contribute $160 into their town police's fund in a form of "civil infraction" just enough to support a few of them sitting at Dunkin Donuts with their calories-laden donuts and coffee while chit chatting over the rerun episodes of NYPD Blue or Law and Order for a few days.

Shit, a $160 speeding ticket was really uncalled for, especially when I am so poor and desperated.

What a perfect way to ruin one's awesome weekend, dampen her high spirit and shoot a deep shithole into her budget. Thanks to the police force at Middle of Nowhere of Massachusetts, I truly am impressed at your earnest effort in law enforcement. However, I don't appreciate your acute attention while I was passing by your town with my car. Why did you choose me when there were more than 3 other cars prior to mine going over the posted speed? You must have detected the color of my skin from afar, and for that too, I am impressed at your cultural diversification skills for paying attention to people of color like me. What a wonderful opportunity to meet and speak to a "colored" person while your town has less than 0.01% of us. I must have made your day, haven't I?

So there goes $160 from my scarce budget. I supposed some sacrifices must be made on my part, such as starving for the next 3 weeks until my next pay check, to support the members of your police force' daily craves for Dunkin donuts and coffee as a way to show my civil obedience to the state of Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, I am not that rich and there was no jackpot for me to hit. Thus, I am going to appeal to your town's court and defend my case. It is my right to dispute this particular charge of "civil infraction" because I think it was quite unfair of you to just zoom your attention on me while there were many bad drivers on the road who violate the law left and right.

F**k you. You just ruined my weekend, my spirits, and my appetite.
